Rice And Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 tbls butter
  • 1 tbls oil
  • 1 green pepper, deseeded and sliced
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 1/2 teas celery seeds
  • 1/2 teas dried marjoram
  • 2 cups stock
  • 1 14oz can black beans

Directions

  1. Heat butter and oil.
  2. Add peppers and onions.
  3. Saute until translucent.
  4. Add the garlic, rice, celery seeds.
  5. Cook for 5 min. until rice is golden.
  6. Add marjoram and stock and cook until rice is done.
  7. Fold in black beans.
