{"id":634,"date":"2015-02-17T00:36:36","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T00:36:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ravenview.com\/recipes\/?p=634"},"modified":"2015-02-17T00:36:36","modified_gmt":"2015-02-17T00:36:36","slug":"southwestern-vegetable-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ravenview.com\/recipes\/southwestern-vegetable-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"Southwestern Vegetable Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup diced spanish onion<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 clove crushed garlic<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup chopped celery<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teas chili powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 4oz can green chilies<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup tomatoe sauce<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">6 corn tortillas, minced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">6 cups chicken broth\/vegetable broth<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 28oz can diced tomatoes<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup black beans with liquid<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup water or more<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup yellow frozen corn kernels<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup frozen cut green beans<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup grated cheese, cheddar\/monterey jack blend<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup crumbled corn tortillas chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat olive oil in dutch oven.<\/li>\n<li>Add onions and celery. Saute until onions are translucent.<\/li>\n<li>Add chili powder and crushed garlic. Saute briiefly.<\/li>\n<li>Add broth, tomatoes, beans, corn, green beans, can chilies and minced tortillas.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to a boil and reduce and simmer 45 min until tortillas pieces have dissolved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Serving Suggestions:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo serve ladle soup into bowls, sprinkle with a heaping tbls of cheese and crushed tortilla chips.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Optional:<\/strong><br \/>\nSalsa Verde or jalapeno peppers can be substituted for the canned green chilies<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Serving Suggestions: To serve ladle soup into bowls, sprinkle with a heaping tbls of cheese and crushed tortilla chips.
