{"id":708,"date":"2015-02-27T20:15:06","date_gmt":"2015-02-27T20:15:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ravenview.com\/recipes\/?p=708"},"modified":"2015-02-27T20:15:06","modified_gmt":"2015-02-27T20:15:06","slug":"ginger-roasted-trout-salad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ravenview.com\/recipes\/ginger-roasted-trout-salad\/","title":{"rendered":"Ginger Roasted Trout Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 servings trout or salmon<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">6 cups spinach or greens<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup cucumber, diced seeds removed<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup red pepper, juilenne<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 ripe mango, diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">fresh cilantro to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Dressing<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbls rice vinegar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbls hoisin sauce<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tbls fresh minced ginger<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tbls tamari<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teas liquid honey<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 teas minced garlic<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbls orange juice<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 cup olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine all ingredients except the olive oil in blender. While motor is running add olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>Marinade fish in 2 tbls of the dressing in a glass dish, skin side up, while preparing the salad.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oven to 400 F.<\/li>\n<li>Put greens in a salad bowl and add all other salad ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oven safe non stick fry pan over high heat.<\/li>\n<li>Add a bit of oil and put fish in skin side down to sear. Turn fish over and peel of skin. Baste the now skinless<\/li>\n<li>side of the fish with the left over marinade. Turn fish once more to sear.<\/li>\n<li>Put fry pan in oven and set timer for 8 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Toss salad with the remaining dressing (more or less as desired).<\/li>\n<li>Serve fish on top of or along side the salad.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Serving Suggestions<\/strong>:<br \/>\nFor a more filling supper serve along side some oven roasted potatoes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Optional<\/strong>:<br \/>\nSearing the fish should take no more than 30 seconds per side.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Serving Suggestions: For a more filling supper serve along side some oven roasted potatoes.
