Scio Savoury.\u00a0 My Mother-in-law made hers with very little bread but lots of mashed potatoes, vegetable shortening and Nova Scotia Summer Savory.\u00a0 We added a few things to make it ours and used both the bread and the potatoes to keep our Mother&#8217;s happy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 loaf of bread (10 cups cubed)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 cups celery, diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 cups onions, diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 cup olive oil\/shortening<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 tbls summer savory<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 teas poultry seasoning<\/li>\n<li>1 teas sage<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 lbs potatoes<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teas salt (see note)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 teas fresh ground pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cube bread and spread on baking sheets and place in 275F oven until dry, about 30 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Cook potatoes, drain and mash.<\/li>\n<li>Combine all other ingredients in a microwave safe container and cook at high power for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Combine the dried bread crumbs, potatoes and onion mixture in a large bowl and mix together.
