They were originally just quarter-round pine which never looked too attractive. I replaced them with pieces of birch, routed and finished to match the kitchen cupboards:<\/p>\n

This alcove is located behind the kitchen sink. Since the sink is not on an outside wall, with no window, it makes a nice break from looking at a plain wall whenever I do the dishes. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
