International EarthCache Day kicks off the tenth annual Earth Science Week<\/a> which runs October 14th to the 20th, 2007. The purpose of Earth Science Week is to promote awareness of the status of Earth Science in education and society. Since 1998 the American Geological Institute has organized this event in an attempt to help the public get a better understanding of the Earth Sciences and to encourage stewardship of our planet Earth.<\/p>\n
