Geo-Post Office caches are specifically placed with the purpose to hold postcards. Each postcard is to have a short message and a forwarding address on it. The address is to include the name of the Geocacher that you are trying to send the postcard to, their home city, and a destination cache.<\/p>\n
When you find a Geo-Post Office cache the object is to take a postcard and move it closer to the city or cache on the address. It’s suggested that you then contact the Geocacher who it is being sent to because they might be near enough to go and pick it up. <\/p>\n
We doubt that it will put the national post offices out of business but it is definitely another cool facet of Geocaching!<\/p>\n
It’s easy to start – just write up your postcard, find a Geo-Post Office and drop it in ‘mail box’! Don’t forget to take a postcard to help it on its way to its destination too!<\/p>\n
