Nova Scotia, Canada will be hosting a Geocaching Maritime Mega Event on July 10th, 2010 in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Geocaching and the 10th Anniversary of Canada&#8217;s First Geocache! <\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;Maritime Mega Event&#8217; (GC1P585) will be a one day event and held at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.modl.ca\/community_services_-_general_pages\/marc.html\" target=\"_blank\">Municipal Activity and Recreation Complex<\/a> , just outside of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/map\/default.aspx?lat=44.36583299323377&amp;lng=-64.5091438293457&amp;zm=13&amp;mt=m\" target=\"_blank\">Bridgewater, Nova Scotia<\/a>. The<br \/>\nMARC offers a 100 Acres of open space, which includes fields, woods, ponds, brooks and trails. It is only minutes from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/seek\/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCBBA&amp;Submit6.x=15&amp;Submit6.y=10\" target=\"_blank\">Canada&#8217;s First Geocache<\/a> and hundreds of other Geocaching opportunites.<\/p>\n<p>This event promises to be a great time! There will be Geocaching related educational opportunities, great food, swag vendors, entertainment and lots of socializing. (a Maritime tradition!). It&#8217;s going to be one big Cachin&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/C%C3%A9ilidh\" target=\"_blank\">Ceilidh<\/a>! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>For our far away friends, accommodations will include onsite tenting. There are also many hotels and campsites nearby and Halifax, Nova Scotia&#8217;s capital city, is only 100kms (60 miles) away.
