Here’s a bit of woodworking from the past – it is a Mission style or Arts and Crafts mirror that I did about two years ago. It’s 4 feet long and 16 inches high and made out of Red Oak with a light stain and finish:<\/p>\n
Arts And Crafts Mirror<\/div>\n

What I enjoyed about this project was the joinery and the curved top. The joinery was a bit of a challenge because it used lap joints that were different on the top than on the bottom and I had to compensate for the rabbet where the mirror would sit. The curved top, of course, had to perfect. If not, it would be very noticeable against the mirror. <\/p>\n

The mirror hangs above a bench in our entrance hallway which I believe it matches quite well:<\/p>\n

Since the mirror is located at our front entrance it is very handy when entering or exiting the house. It’s great for straightening your hat, fixing your hair, etc., all those things that mirrors are good for. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

No, I did not build the bench though every time I walk by it I wish I had. Maybe someday when the To-Do list is cleared I’ll make one. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
