Poppy Seed Dressing
I used to make a poppy seed dressing which called for 3/4 of a cup of sugar. I decided that it was making my salad into a dessert and I started experimenting. This is the recipe I finally decided on. It has a lot less sugar and a lot more taste.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tbls prepared mustard
- 1/4 teas salt
- 4 teas chopped onion
- 2/3 cup olive oil
- 2 tbls poppy seeds
Directions
- In a blender combine the honey, vinegar, mustard, salt and onion.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add the oil gradually through the removable knob on the lid of the blender.
- Add the poppy seeds all at once and blend until incorporated.
- Chill in fridge and shake before serving.
