Caching In Maine

We just got back from a little trip. We went caching in Maine and we were able to log a few virtual caches enroute.

We spent a couple of nights in Bar Harbor and that allowed us to do some trail walks in the Acadia National Park. This is truly a great park and boasts the highest point on the Eastern seaboard atop Cadillac Mountain. It was a bit overcast (and windy/cold) but we had excellent views from here. Certainly worth the visit for this alone! Another cache led us around a shoreline trail which we would have missed if not for the cache. Another cache led us on a trail where we spotted three deer and a rabbit!<

We traveled up the coast of both Maine and New Brunswick and overnighted again just outside of the Hopewell Rocks park. We had time to visit both in the evening and early morning. This is another great place to visit!

Although we would have visited both of these places we would not have went ‘off trail’ as much as we did seeking out these caches and would have missed a lot of great scenery and experiences. We truly had a much more enjoyable time thanks to these virtual caches!

Keep on cachin’!
