Creamy Balsamic Dressing
This recipe came to me via a friend, Bev, who ate a salad at a local hotel and somehow managed to get the salad dressing recipe from the chef. This salad dressing could be used on any green salad. I prefer it drizzled on and not tossed as the dressing is dark due to the balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 1 1/2 teas grainy dijon mustard
- 4 basil leaves
- 3 tbls balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbls honey
- 4 1/2 oz olive oil
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Blend all ingredients EXCEPT the oil in a blender or food processor.
- Once combined add the oil with the motor running.
- Keep refrigerated.
