This cool, double rainbow appeared in the Southern sky this evening as the sun started to break through the last of the rain clouds.
There’s something about rainbows that, even after all these years, still excites us when we see one. We look at it in awe and try to count the colours, then quickly peek to see where it touches the ground, in hopes that we can reach the pot of gold before the rainbow fades. It is then when we realize that the real treasure was in the pause, this little moment we took in wonder. It is also at that instant that we remember just how beautiful life really is.
“Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray. ” – Lord Byron
