Sadly, we lost Carmelita this morning. 🙁
We found her on the patio in front of a window that she must have flew into, breaking her little neck.
Carmelita was a female Northern Cardinal that was a frequent visitor to our feeders. She, along with her beau, Carlos, was a big part of our daily entertainment, watching them both at breakfast and supper time. Throughout the day we would hear them chirping away with their unique call.
We’re sure that Carlos must be devastated. We hope that he will find another mate as sweet as her.
Good-bye, Carmelita
