Beef And Oyster Mushrooms In Oyster Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 lb beef steak
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
- 4 cups oyster mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbls oyster sauce
- 1/4 cup beef stock
Marinade
- 2 tbls tapioca starch
- 2 tbls tamari
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/4 tbls sesame oil
- 2 teas grated ginger
- 2 pinches pepper
- 2 pinches cloves
- 2 pinches cinnamon
- 2 pinches cayenne pepper
Directions
- Slice beef across grain into thin strips. Place in a bowl to marinade for 15-30 minutes.
- Heat 2 tbls oil to wok and fry the beef in batches, adding oil to each new batch, removing to plate to avoid stewing.
- When all the the beef has been fried, add the onions and pepper to the wok. Stir fry until onion has softened then add the mushrooms and stir fry 1 minute.
- Return beef and any accumulated juices back to the wok.
Add the oyster sauce and stir fry until heated through
