Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb lean ground pork
- mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 small onion
- 1/4 pepper(any colour)
- 2 slices bread (spelt or other)
- 1 egg
- 1 teas thyme
- 1 teas chili powder
- 1/2 teas paprika
Directions
- Process the mushrooms, garlic, onion, peppers and bread in food processor or dice by hand.
- If bread is fresh, break it up and put in on a cookie sheet in a 300F oven to dry out.
- Combine all ingredients and shape into meat balls.
- Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until done.
Serving Suggestions:
Add to pasta sauces or your favourite barbeque sauce.
The cooking time will depend on the size of the meatballs.
Adjust spices to your liking.
