Souvlaki
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds pork shoulder
Marinade
- 1 teas oregano
- 1/2 teas fresh ground pepper
- 2 teas sea salt
- 1/4 cup wine
- 1/4 cup ume vinegar
- 4 tbls olive oil
Directions
- Cut pork into 1″ cubes.
- Combine the marinade ingredients and pour over pork.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Put pork on skewers and grill or broil meat.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with rice and vegetables or a greek salad.
Comments:
Chicken or lamb can be substituted for the pork.
You can use a good red wine vinegar instead of the wine and ume vinegar.
If you want to marinade overnight, then replace the vinegar with wine as the meat will pick up a strong vinegar taste
