Here’s another bowl carrying a similar theme as the last one. This bowl is also made of Maple and it is 5 3/4″ in diameter and 3 1/2″ tall. The large burned band is 1 1/4 wide and featured with a couple of wire burned rings and two different size ‘dots’.
The Maple that we used for this one is the Old Man Maple that used to grow in the in-laws backyard. It also features a bit of spalting. A beautiful example of the Peyoke tradition.
It was finished with a beautiful shine and the band received a light coat of wipe-on poly.
