Here’s another textured Maple bowl with burnings in, what we have come to call, the Peyoke style. It is 5 3/4″ in diameter and 3″ tall. In addition to the burning this bowl also features a textured band.
The textured band certainly gives the bowl a tactile effect, making the handling of the bowl a different and enjoyable experience. This area was kept natural without any finish while the other natural areas were finished to a glos. The burned and stained area was finished with a coat of wipe-on poly.
