Ain’t nuthin’ fawlty about this year’s towering crop of Basil! Just look at this beautiful bouquet! 🙂
We had a bumper crop of sweet, sweet Basil again this year and like last year we made loads of pesto for our favourite pesto dishes like Pesto Pasta as well as just blended some up with a bit of water, put it in a baggie, flattened it out and creased the bag in spots and froze it. We break off a piece and use this in recipes where we want to add fresh Basil.
This herb is so tasty and the pungent, spicy fragrant gets us every time and adds a ‘Touch of Class’ to any meal! 🙂
